Pharos Print 2.2.13

The Pharos Print app, a component of the Pharos MobilePrint solution, enables users to conveniently submit content from their iOS device to a secure print queue provided by Pharos. This app requires the presence of Pharos MobilePrint and a secure print solution within the organization.

Features:

Operating Environment:

• Supports iOS 14.0 and newer iPhone and iPad models.
• Requires Pharos MobilePrint 2.0+ with Pharos Uniprint 9.0+.
• Requires Pharos MobilePrint 2.0+ with Pharos Blueprint 5.2+.
• MobilePrint 2.4 and Uniprint 9.1 SP3 are needed for QR Print Release.

Supported Files (Important):

The app supports the following file formats for uploading or opening files from other apps via "Open In" and "Sharing," or via the "Upload" button: Microsoft Office® documents, Microsoft Outlook®, PDF, images (JPG, GIF, PNG, BMP), text files (CSV, RTF & TXT), and OpenOffice documents.

How to use the features of Pharos Print app:

1. Download and install the Pharos Print app on your iOS device.
2. Connect Pharos Print to your organization’s Pharos MobilePrint server:
   1. Open the Pharos Print app.
   2. Obtain the Pharos MobilePrint server information (URL) from your organization's IT administrator.
   3. Enter the Pharos Server Name and Server Port (both required).
   4. Select Connect.
   5. The app will connect to the Pharos server and display a User Authentication Screen.
3. Authenticate to the Pharos Server:
   1. Enter your print credentials (username and password).
   2. Select Log On to access the Pharos Print app.
4. Submit files:
   1. Files can be uploaded using the Upload icon in the app or via "Open In" or "Sharing" in other iOS apps.
   2. To upload supported documents from the app, log in and use the Upload button. Sources for files on your device or cloud storage will be presented.
   3. To upload supported documents using "Open In" or "Sharing":
      1. Select content in a compatible app.
      2. Select Open In/Share.
      3. Select the Open/Share in Pharos Print icon.
5. Manage files:
   1. Select a print job in the list.
   2. Apply finishing options via the Print Options tab at the app's bottom:
      1. Choose 1-sided or 2-sided printing.
      2. Select color or black & white printing.
      3. Specify pages per side.
      4. Indicate the number of copies.
      5. Define a page range to print.
   3. To preview documents, select a document and use the Preview button.
   4. To delete documents, select a document and use the Delete button.
6. Print documents: This option depends on your organization's settings.
   1. Select the desired document(s) to print.
   2. Either choose a printer from the app's bottom tab (if available) or use the QR Code icon at the top right of the app (if available). The latter option requires pointing the device's camera at the QR code on the chosen printer.
7. View available funds: Use the Payment method tab at the app's bottom. If allowed by your organization, you may add funds via the link on this tab.
8. Logging out: To log out of the Pharos Print app, select the gear icon in the upper left corner and choose Log out.
